Application

The internally illuminated windcone is designed according to the FAA AC 5345-27D specification, L-806 type Style I-B, that recommends the use of wind direction indicator (windcone) on frangible mast. The windcone is equipped with two lamps,

the first one is operating and the second one is a spare, with automatic lighting on of the spare lamp in case of failure of the first one, by an amperometric relay.

Standard dimension are 250 cm long fabric sock (white color, others on request).

The windcone should be located to ensure a full visibility, avoiding any effects of turbulence and any disturbance to the maneuver; if not possible, two windcone should be positioned in different places. The windcone can be supplied, on request, with a LED obstruction light on top.
